So, for the first time in the entire film history, RGV DEN is initiating a project where only the ticket buying audience decides on every major creative aspect  of a film which include,

  1. LEAD ACTORS
  2. DIRECTORS
  3. CINEMATOGRAPHERS
  4. MUSIC DIRECTORS
  5. LYRICISTS
  6. DAILOUGE WRITERS

The other crew memebers being technical will be choosen by the selected director from professionals in the industry.

In the “YOUR FILM” reality show Ram Gopal Varma himself will throw various complex and creative challenges to the contestants in a series of episodes.

RGV will give an act to perform to each participant. The exact same act will be given to everyone so that the audience can judge and vote on who they think is the best.

At the end of the show one actor and one actress will be selected, again based on whoever the public will vote the maximum. They will be then signed as the lead pair of the film.

To submit a close up photo and a full figure photo of yours with some kind of intense expression to give an overall idea to the viewer

PROCEDUREs in “YOUR FILM” for aspiring DIRECTORS

To shoot the below given SCENE in your own interpretation

’SCENE title: TEST 

 In a warehouse 40 year old Suri hands 25 year old Guru a pistol, who takes it with a shaking hand

Suri points to a kneeling old man in his 60’s called Gupta who is with his head down

Suri looks at Guru and says “Kill him”

Guru looks at the gun and says “Forgetting shooting, I never even held a gun before “

Suri says” There’s always a first time ..and it’s not as if u are participating in a shooting competition “ and laughs… All you have to do is to put the gun point on his forehead and shoot…Even a kid can do it “

Gupta mumbles” I’m sorry.. can you please ask boss to forgive me” ,” still looking down.

Suri gestures to Guru and Guru with the gun walks around behind Gupta


“No,” Suri says” Not like that. In front. Look him in the eyes and shoot him

Guru reacts 

‘Look up,” Suri  orders Gupta . “You deserve to die for cheating on our boss.”



Trembling , the old man does as he was told, eyes dry, staring into Guru’s  eyes who now is in front looking at him .. Gupta mutters a rapid string of words which could have been a prayer

Guru raises the gun, sickened by the sight of his own hand. He presses the barrel gently against the old man’s soft forehead.Gupta keeps staring at Guru to unnerve him 

Guru had never killed a man before but now he has to do this because it is an entrance test to get into the underworld

“Don’t torture me with the delay ..Just Shoot me?” Gupta  whispers 


Guru braces himself and shuts his eyes and is about to press the trigger

Suri sharply says “ you have to keep your eyes open and look at the man you are killing “

Guru opened his eyes and looking into Gupta’s eyes takes a deep breath and shoots

Gupta’s body is thrown backward

Guru rubs his shoulder from the pistol kick and looks at Suri for approval

Suri puts his hand on Guru’s shoulder and presses it in appreciation

“You passed the test “ Suri says and Guru breaks into tears of gratitude and Suri hugs him to console him even as Gupta’s dead eyes stare at them 

END OF SCENE …

IMPORTANT NOTE:
As long as the CONTENT of the scene doesn’t change , you are free to

This test is only to see how you can INTERPRET CHARACTERS and EXTRACT PERFORMANCES and how you can put it together in an edit to communicate the right emotion using the various cinematic crafts like dialogue, sound , music ,Edit pattern etc

To submit a synopsis for a story tentatively titled LOVE ON THE RUN in not more than 200 words about a couple who are on the run and suddenly get stuck in a bizarre crime situation .. it should start as a regular run of the mill romantic story but suddenly twists and turns into multiple genres

IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU don’t need to write the ending and just write the story premise and basic plot idea

Since the full story cannot be put on a public platform viewers will be asked only to judge on the material which will be short enough to put out on a trailer
